Dr. Rhonda Rogers is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist and trained Biblical Counselor with a heart for service and a mission to bring healing through both professional expertise and spiritual guidance. A proud veteran, Dr. Rogers honorably served in the United States Army for over 20 years—4.5 years as an enlisted soldier and 16 years as a commissioned officer—before retiring in 2013.

Following her military service, Dr. Rogers relocated to Georgia in 2014 and began serving veterans as the Domiciliary Psychologist at the VA Hospital in Dublin. There, she provided clinical care in the PTSD Program, Substance Abuse Program, and Homeless Veterans Program. Her compassionate and comprehensive approach helped transform the lives of countless veterans facing mental health and addiction challenges.

In 2018, Dr. Rogers accepted the role of Clinical Director of Mental Health at Johnson State Prison, marking the beginning of her impactful journey within Georgia’s correctional system. In 2023, she expanded her service to Rogers State Prison and Emanuel Women’s Facility while continuing to work part-time at Johnson State Prison. She has since returned to serve as Clinical Director at both Johnson State Prison and Emanuel Women’s Facility, continuing her unwavering commitment to the rehabilitation and emotional healing of incarcerated individuals.

Dr. Rogers views her work in corrections as both a challenge and a calling—an opportunity to bring restoration, hope, and the message of Jesus Christ to those often forgotten. Her ability to combine clinical psychology with biblical counseling allows her to reach people at the deepest levels of need.

Her experience, compassion, and spiritual integrity make Dr. Rhonda Rogers a powerful asset to The Compassionate Advocate’s mission to support, restore, and walk alongside individuals and families impacted by incarceration.
